8. Their other names were
They didn’t always go by the name U2. They first went by the name Feedback and they got this name because of the really bad noise they made during their early rehearsals. They next went by the name Hype before eventually deciding on U2 and staying with it. Bono actually decided on the first two names and doesn’t even like the name U2 because he thinks it sounds like a really bad pun since it sounds like you are saying “You too.”
7. The members nicknames
The members of the band had many different nicknames during their early days of having the group together. For example, “The Edge” is called this because of the way his chin is. Bono is called this because the name Bono Vox was the name of a hearing aid company and since the band was really loud, this seemed a good stage name for Bono.
