Also known as JYP, Park Jin Young is one of K-pop’s prime movers. He has written and performed some of Korea’s most enduring chart hits, such as the 1998 track “Honey,” 2000s favorite “Kiss,” and the 2015 smash, “Who’s Your Mamma?”

However, not content with these achievements, he has also found a niche as the producer, chief songwriter and business mastermind behind JYP Entertainment, one of the biggest talent agencies in the country. His label has spawned acts such as the Wonder-Girls (the first K-pop act to break into the Billboard Hot 100), boyband 2PM and multinational girl group miss A.

Despite all this activity, his main love remains his solo work. For many, Park’s finest musical hour came in the form of “The House You Live In,” an unexpectedly smooth RnB number released in 2007.
