12. Patsy Cline
In 1973 Patsy Cline made history as the first female solo artist to have been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, 10 years after her tragic death at the age of 30. In 2002 she was still remembered for her works, being voted by music artists and industry members alike as number one for CMT’s “The 40 Greatest Women of Country Music.” Patsy is remembered for the hits “Walkin’ After Midnight”, “Sweet Dreams” and “Lovesick Blues.”
