Notorious B.I.G’s real name is Christopher Wallace and he was born on May 21, 1972 in Brooklyn, New York. Although he was a well-known rapper until he died, he actually started out as a drug dealer when he was a young boy.
However, when he became a teenager, he started getting into music and met Sean “Puffy” Combs. Although he used to fight a lot with Tupac Shakur, the feud they had together actually helped shape his career into what it was.
He ended up being killed in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997.

10. Notorious B.I.G wasn’t his first stage name
Although his real name is Christopher Wallace, he had many different rapper names in his career. Before he started going by the Notorious B.I.G, he would go by the name, Biggie Smalls. However, that name was already taken by a character in the 1975 Bill Cosby movie, “Let’s Do It Again” so he had to change it to avoid legal problems.
9. He and Tupac Shakur used to work together
Although B.I.G and Tupac ended up as enemies, they actually used to work together on different songs. They even worked together on the song, “Let’s Get it On” by Eddie F. with Grand Puba and Heavy D. The song was released in 1994.
