Dr. Dre’s real name is Andre Romelle Young and he was born on February 18, 1965.
He comes from a musical background since his mother was a singer for the “Four Aces” although she did quit the group before he was born, and his father was a singer for a band called, “The Romelles.” Dr. Dre’s middle name, Romelle, comes from the band his father belonged to.

When Dr. Dre was just a year old, his brother, Jerome died from pneumonia. He also had a half-brother who passed away, Tyree, and he dedicated his song, “The Message” to him, which was part of his album, “Chronic 2001.”
5. He fathered a son when he was 16 years old
Although he fathered a son when he was just 16 years old, he didn’t get to meet him until 20 years later. The boy’s name was Curtis and he was raised by the boy’s mother entirely. Curtis is now a rapper who goes by the name of “Hood Surgeon.”
